A specimen is one part carried through every stage a source can support, published permanently so a stranger can check it. This page lists what the record actually holds — it is not a claim written by hand.

A specimen is published from a real captured run, not written for the website. None has been published yet, so this page says so rather than showing you an example dressed as one — which is the failure the specimen exists to guard against.
The homepage shows a worked example of the shape a record takes, and labels it as one. Verify checks any receipt you have been given, and answers honestly whether it resolves.
